Calls to 084, 087 and 070 virtual UK numbers from international phone lines not working!
We have covered this subject in previous articles, but so many customers still do not understand how telecoms companies work!
Most international telecoms networks allow calls to 084, 087 and 070 virtual UK numbers, but there are also hundreds more which choose to block calls to 084, 087 and 070 virtual UK numbers, classifying them as Premium Rate.
084 and 087 UK numbers are not Premium Rate, they are NGN, which means Non-Geographic Numbers. 070 UK numbers are not Premium Rate either, they are 070 Personal Numbers or PNS meaning Personal Numbering Services.
However because of the nature of the 084, 087 and 070 UK numbers being revenue share numbers, some international operators choose to block calls to these 084, 087 and 070 UK numbers and unfortunately there is nothing we can do to stop this from happening!
0845 and 0870 numbers seem to be more widely accepted by the international telecoms networks, but again we cannot guarantee international calls to 084, 087 and 070 UK numbers, as we have no control over international calls to the UK from other countries. If you cannot call a 084, 087 and 070 UK number from your country, then you need to complain to your local phone company and not DIDcomms.
The only UK number types on which we can guarantee international incoming calls are the Prepaid Geographic UK Numbers. They are free to setup and do not have any line rental either, however they cost the user for all calls incoming and outgoing. Our rates are competitive and include VAT.
